Air conditioner 2003 T&C 3.8Lhas started to rattle intermittently (soundslike a can of marbles)when compressor cycles on although air still works great. Car has 83,000 miles. Clutch on compressor going bad or does it sound like the compressor?

 

Check the idler pulley. The increased load on belt when the AC is engaged can cause a worn idler pulley to rattle.
