RB1 radio issues

RB1 radio issues
I have a 2006 T&C with the RB1 nav radio that sometimes will display correctly. othertimes no visual display or functioning controls. The radio is dated 2006. I tried an RB1 dated 2003 and the display works fine BUT I get no sound!! What am I doing wrong? Any solution for the 2006 interminent display problem?? HELP!!
