replaceing blower motor help

Default replaceing blower motor help

hello i have a 01 T&C limited and the air stop working finally found out it is the blower motor is bad and a shop said they wanted 1100 buck to change i was wondering how difficult this is to change if any one could give me a simple how to and if i have to take the dash apart please and thank you your help is apprciated

first of all 1100 for a blower motor yeah some one is smoking crack. its not teh simple thing to do but not 1100 worth.
Sence they want to charge that much why dont U tell us what it is or is not doing b4 u go spend money that might not even be required.

well the front doesnt blow air at all heat or act i changed the control module resistor and and chcked all the fuses /relays and finally got the old circuit tester out and check that there was power to it , then i ran power on straight 12 volts with a fuse on it and still the blower wouldnt turn on so i 99% positive that it is the blower only the place i talked to said that they had to take the whole dash apart to replace and that was why it was so expensive told them that was to much and am picking it up today thats why i was asking about replacing the blower

oh wow I had forgotten that the blower motor on thoes were inside the dash and HVAC housing i just looked up the instructions and its correct HVAC housing has to be split apart.

Not done a motor so can't say. Did you also check the earth side of the motor?

no i didnt but i took it to a electric shop but cant handle the 1100 dollars the motor is only 80 bucks so
