Default Sliding Power Door Bounces Back !

I was really pleased with myself today, I got a new wiring track and fitted it and now the power sliding door opens and closes perfectly, but !, a problem it had before (Before I fitted the new wiring track), is that sometimes when closing it would just reverse and open again, and today it did it again, and what’s made it worse is that I thought it had closed and went away and left it for about 30 minutes.

How can I fix it as I though replacing the wiring track would cure all the problems.

Thanks

I was told once by a dealer that the T&C has a body computer that needed reprogramming. not sure if I really believe that but I have the same problem with a 2002. Would also like to know if there is a solution.

Default Same problem with door bouncing open

Were you able to fix this problem? I had the wires, track and motor replaced last year and that seemed to fix it for 11 months. It started to act up again, closing to within a few inches and bouncing back open. They replaced the track, wire and motor again, but it did not cure the problem this time!! Getting quite frustrated. Do you have any other solutions?

Mine does this also.
I notice that when the door closes. There is another motor that kicks in to seal the door.
IF I DO NOT HERE THIS MOTOR. I KNOW THE DOOR WILL COME OPEN AGAIN.
sometimes it may take several attempts to close the door.
Have contacted dealer yet.

I went to dealer today about the sliding door.
checked everything. Lubricated the door system
they also downloaded an update for the door.
will see if that works.

I asked was this a recall. No it is a minor problem so no recall was sent out.
so check with your dealer.
