Small evap leak

Default Small evap leak

I have a 2003 with a 3.3 sets code for small evap . Checked hose at canister. Couldn't find any cracks.
Checked the purge solenoid dosen't hold vaccum lose 1 to 2 inch of vaccum in about 20 sec. than holds
Any help

under the body hoses crack as well .

I'm not sure if the intake/throttle body config. is the same as my 3.8 but you might check the small vacuum elbow below the throttle body. It should connect to a nipple on the TB and to the plastic vac lines. Helps to remove the air filter for this and it would give you a chance to check the rest in that area. HTH

A friend had the same thing on his Dakota. I checked all the Evap hoses under the hood and found the problem. One of the hoses from the canister had a couplingin it about 3 feet from the canister where it mated to a preformed hosethat continued under the firewall. At that coupling the hose was cracked on the underside. I cut 3/4" off and reattached it and problem solved.He had been to 2 different shops and each gave him a different reason for the leak and quoted much money to fix.
