Smoking,fuse blowing Grand Voyager 2.8CRD 04.

How Doo & hello to all.
First post to the site, with regards to the problems I am having with my Voyager 2.8CRD XS 04. #1. Grey/acrid smoke on idle getts worse when hot & in traffic, seems to run a little bit uneven when creeping along and smoke gets worse!!, oil seems to be higher than max on dip stick, and smells like fuel contamination?. Did a leak test on the Injectors, 5 mins running at idle and all came out even and about the ammount of a good size egg cup. No loss off power & runs realy well for 125,000, it is just the smoke is getting worse and embarressing in traffic. I use the Voyager as a Taxi so in Feb my vehicle needs plating so it will fail if not addressed:confused:. #2. I keep blowing the Fuel heater fuse & having to remove the IOD fuse and re place after five minutes when the central locking trips out, are these two issues related? or two independant faults?.
Any help/advice would be realy appreciated, thanks in advance & networking is the future,,,like garlic bread!:)

Hi there,
Glad to see another UK 2.8CRD 04 owner. Only bit I can give any help on though from your list is the central locking. I don't believe this will be related to the fuel heater fuse blowing, that sounds like the fan/unit may be sticking/tripping out.

On the central locking however, take a look as there are a few threads relating to it, but it basically boils down to a software 'bug' that needs the BCM (Body Control Module) updating from a dealership.
