Default steering gear loosing fluid right side

Hello Everybody

Today took my 2004 T&C to the authorized dealer because during weekend I noticed that the front right hardware behind the wheel was oily.
Diagnostic: Steering gear o'ring or seal is leaking fluid.
Solution: change steering gear

Is there any way I can fix the current steering gear? I mean, can I change the o’ring, seal or whatever prevents the fluid to leak?

My T&C has only 33000 miles. I hate investing money in this sort of spare parts that are supposed to last years…

Regards

Latreto

Default Right side rack and pinion leak

I know this is an old thread but what did you end up doing? I have the same problem, '03 T&C 122.000 miles.
I'm thinking about replacing the whole rack and pinion but seems a little hard for a driveway job...

Thanks,
Ray
