Hi all, new member here. I am moving out of my 2012 Chrysler Town and Country and into a 2018 Dodge Grand Caravan GT. Not a whole lot of differences but I am missing a couple of things. The backup camera on the GT doesn't beep like the one in my Town and Country did and I had come to appreciate that warning beep. Also, the Dodge is not equipped with side view mirrors that alert to a vehicle in the blind spot. Would upgrading to those types of side view mirrors be very involved? I still have the 2012 T&C with that kind of side view mirror.

I think the reverse beep is settable in the menu on the dash (buttons on the steering wheel). It is described in the T&C manual, but who reads those, right? I can set my 2015 T&C to camera only, "cam and beep" and off I think. Due to the tow bar, I have to keep it on cam only.

The blind spot function is not working on my T&C so I'd really like to get that going. Normally, you need to at least program the computer(s) to accept the mirrors (checked and AlfaOBD trial version can read the setting so a licensed copy would be able to set it to "Blind spot Sensors" = "present"), and sometimes such functions are handled by a separate module. Sorry, but I haven't had the time to investigate too much yet!
