Default Tip for injector removal 2.5 crd

Hi all having an expensive year with our gv so far what with rear main seal, clutch, service, mot, drop links, track rod end, and not finished yet as undiagnosed eml fault, anyway back to it injector number 4 seal went on Wednesday mot today Monday so thought I better sort it so after trying everywhere to find a reasonable priced injector puller could only find one for 135 but wouldn't get here for a week or so so popes down to garage who mots our cars and asked to borrow one they said that that they borrow one from Chrysler on the rare occasion that they need it but they have some universal kits that will prob work take a couple and bring them back on Monday when turn up for mot.
They then said go and buy some mr muscle oven cleaner and give it a good spray and leave it sit for a while, I thought they were taking the p**s but brought some anyway what did I have to lose by trying it, anyway I gave it a good spraying and left it until Sunday morning, striped out scuttle etc so could get access to be able to put pulled onto top of injector then removed the fuel pipes on number 3&4 and injector clamp on no 4 put spanner on top of injector to remove top of injector so could fit puller onto injector and to my amazement the injector was loose managed to wiggle it out with my fingers!!!
So tip of the day buy some mr muscle oven cleaner
