Default Trans Control Solenoid - 2000 T&C Ltd

Good Morning - My 2000 Town and Country (limited, 3.8L,2wd) has been leaking tranmission fluid and was told by a mechanic that it is from the Transmission Control Solenoid and I wanted to ask if this is a repair I could do myself. Does this require special tools? The estimate was about $310 including parts and labor.

The link I have is for the part listed as in stock at Auto Zone. I've looked at it and it appears to be the same part (right behind the trans pan).

Any advise on this topic would be greatly appreciated!

Yeah that's the right thing.

Change your trans filter and fluid at the same time.
If the old pack is sitting on top of a metal plate remove it.

Just to clarify, the pack is mounted to the front of the transmission in front of the fluid pan. No special tools needed. How do I replace the shift solenoid b in my 2000 Grand Caravan - JustAnswer
