My dealer is clueless- He said he got the VIN updated in the dealer service net. Then he could not get the uconnect to configure on the van.

The Ipod Control is active without the starscan- unplugging the large module plug and leaving the Ipod cable in yields Ipod recognition but no playback. Reconnecting large plug- Ipod works normally. I am certain my install is good. I think following the configuring intstructions would be the order of the day. At least he did not charge me.

I guess I will have to make some phone calls tomorrow- I may have to drive an hour to Macon to get this done correctly.

Default The Dealer I Used

Hello Antores,

I went to:

Leith Chysler in Wendell
5310 Rollesville Road
Wendell, NC 27591
919-366-7000

The cost was $257 (U-connect Kit, this is a fixed price by Chysler) + $160 labor + tax. You have to pre-order the part and it takes 5-7 business days to arrive.

The staff there was great. I told them I would have to wait for the van. They were quick about getting it done; about 1.5 hours.

BTW- I did not order the optional iPod cable so I cannot comment on how it works or doesn't work.

Good luck with your installation.

How much is the RER Radio?

Will the U-connect kit work on the standard 2010 T&C Touring Radio, as well as the MyGig? I'm thinking about upgrading to the MyGig later, but I'd like the Bluetooth features now.

You can have u-connect without My-GIG but if you upgrade to the sat nav My-GIG you get u-connect built in and just need a mic.

I was at a local car show and swap meet in the area my son lives in and they had tables full of "mygig" radios of every config and most were in the $20-$30 price range....just a thought

Maybe e-bay as well.
