Default upper motor mount

My son rear ended a van last year (July). Fairly severe. Condenser, rad, front members got shoved back. Two weeks ago I noticed one of the three upper motor mount bolts was gone. On closer inspection the top of the bolt was gone, the rest was stuck in the lower mount plate (the one attached to the engine). Checked the other two. Rearmost one was also sheared off. Middle one only one left doing duty. Guy who did the first repairs claims no way that happened in the accident. I can't imagine how else it would happen. Anyone else have motor mount bolts spontaneously shear for no apparent reason. I don't think so, but just checking.
