Default What's the trick with the plastic body clips?

I'm trying to remove my '02 T&C grill, and some plastic bits underneath to get to the condenser -- how do I remove those pin-shaped black plastic clips without breaking them?

Thanks in advance.

The center should pull out of them with a pair of dykes. The center part expands the outside part like a rivet does when installed. Then there are some small bolts that hold the fascia to the small part of the fender. The grill doesn't come off it's the whole fascia BTW.
