Here's my question/dilemma/issue. We have a 2004 T&C, which came with the CD/cassette radio. Well, the CD portion no longer works, thanks to my 2-year old treating it like a piggy bank. I have my eye on a couple of replacements, but they are the CD-only version. What I want to know is, are the two different units the same size, or must I find an exact duplicate?

MY recommendation is to go to crutchfield.com. They are very reputable (I have bought several units from them over the years) but also very clear on what radio fits in what, maximum depth, adapter kits, etc.

 

Thanks, I'll check 'em out. But I get the feeling I may not have been clear in my initial post. The potential units I have my eye on are Chrysler OEM radios; however, unlike the unit currently in the van (CD + cassette), they are CD only. They LOOK the same size, but it's difficult to tell w/o being able to place them side by side. They're used, but still cheaper than a new aftermarket unit.

 

All the OEM stereos that are the same shape(rounded corners) will fit in place. The 2002 and newer ones, have the same electrical plug as yours. Very easy swap.
