Wing mirror goes all way round when opening from retracted position and won't lock into position . Any ideas ?

First try moving the mirror manually then try the switch again.

Tried that 3/4 times already , the car has been off the road for about 5 years and i'm having to deal with a variety of issues . It has been struck and is visibly damaged but all of the other functions work . When I close it , move it up or down no problem but when I open it up it goes way past the stop and almost hits the wing .

OK Alan , I have a Landrover Disco which I will use to replace the Voyager when it becomes too much trouble . In fact that was my intention 5 years ago but whilst sorting mot for Voyager I fell and damaged my hip and spent next 3 years plus in bed until hip replaced . The Voyager was easy to get back on the road so that's my transport until Disco gets sorted . Regards Malcolm .

My first Voyager was a 2004 2.5 manual which I bought brand new. I paid and extra £1,300 to have the dealer fitted SatNav! We took the grand kids to France and Spain every year. Then I bought a used 2007 model with Stow-n-Go, swapped that for a Kia Sportage (big mistake) so changed that for a 2013 Voyager. Loved it but during the first lock down we bought a twin axle caravan which weighs 1,650kg. I discovered that the maximum legal towing capacity of the Voyager is 1,600kg so sold that and bought a 3.0 Jeep Grande Cherokee which can tow up to 3,500kg. Not as much room as the Voyager but it pulls the caravan effortlessly. If you want to call round for a chat some time just pm me. Alan
