Wipers on a 2006 T&C
 

I just replaced the wiper motor on my 2006 T&C and can't get them to go back to the stop and start point.Before replaceing motor wipers would start on there own and stop on there own with no key or nobody in the van? While using them they would stop half way when turned off and I"d have to turn switch on to get in the down position ? Any help would be great!

Take the arms off. Run the wiper motor, then cut it off. Wait till it stops, Re-install the arms where they should be at stop. They had big problems with the wiper switches and the motors in 96. Don't use any salvage yard parts.

Thanks You for your reply.I have done that several times already.Every time they end up going part way up,then come down and try to whip the engine compartment or they go past the top and try to whip the drivers side mirror ? I guess maybe I might have a bad switch then ? Where would the switch be located ? Is it in the steering column ? Thanks Again for your help.

You got the arms/motor out if time then. It's a good idea to note how they come apart and how everything's positioned. It will be trial and error now.

It just so happened that I had a class mate that is a Chrysler tech that I ran across after years.He was kind enough to supply pics of how the wiper arms and motor poistion should be.Now this was from a 1998 T&C but I looked and done just as pics on my 1996 and they work fine now.Hope this will help any others that might have to replace there motor as well so they don"t spend alot of time like myself going back and forth trying to get timed.Attachment 1793

Speedy thats a good post man, much appreciated. That sucks getting that crazy articulated linkage out of time, especially for the novice. Cell phones are actually good for something other than calls.
