Default wireless headphones

I just bought an 03 Town & Country (replacing our 98 T&C that was totaled). This one has the DVD system, that uses RF wireless headphones. I got the part # for the headphones from the dealer, they are $107 each. Too much. So I got some from Ebay, which claimed to be from an 02, which would seem to be the same since I've read that they changed to the IR headphones in 04.

Anyway, what I got doesn't work with my van.
What I got is headphones with this PN inside:
VP2AMF-18k909-AA
(1) remote with this inside:
VP2DJF-181812-BA
PN 05083190AA
The remote has MOPAR on the front.

I think the ebay seller didn't really know what these are for. Does anyone know what year these parts go with? I'm sure I can sell them again if I know what they really go with.

Also, any tips on what might actually work with my van (not new parts)
My VIN 2C8GT64L23R160855
The dealer tells me that these headphones will work: 4685936AE.
I'd use some 3rd party ones if someone makes the RF type.

Thanks!!!

Jeff

redgms or xfire04, do you still have the headphones available? I just tried Best Buy but they only carr the IR type. I need to replace mine, both have broken over years of use by my now 5 year old.

I just bought an 05 T&C with headphones and no remote or owners manual. I found out (on line) that you need the remote to turn on the RF transmitter for the headphones. Can't do it from anywhere else and they don't just automatically turn on. You need the remote.

Are you still looking for a set of wireless headphones? I have a pair of p/n 04685936AE, new in box, never used. I ordered them because our Pacifica lease was ending and we had lost the headsets. The order didn't arrive until after we returned the vehicle, and Chrysler didn't ask for the headsets. Let me know.

Bagshase, I did purchase a pair of headsets from an aftermarket company. But they have a little static/interference. How much would you want for the pair you have?
