i can cycle the key and hear the fuel pump, and is i cycle it 2 or 3 times, the car will start for a second or 2 then die. replaced the filter tomake sure it wasnt the issue, but still starts and stalls?

Starting and then stalling after 2 seconds sounds like the anti-theft system doing its job.

If it was that easy to fix, it wouldn't be much of an anti-theft system would it? Talk to your nearest dealer, see if he can fix a 20-year-old system.

I already did talk to my local Dodge dealer. He said I need the original key fob. His only suggestion was to unlock the doors with the key. Surely there is a way to reset this or at least test to see if that is indeed the problem or do I have a bad PCM? I don't mind spending some money on this, I just don't want to waste money on parts that aren't going to fix my problem.
