my problem is I have checked the relay . works . starter works you can jump from battery and starts car the ingnition switch seems to work but wil not turn over motor all other functions work what else could be wrong

 

Hi My 97 3.3 started with this fault andjust got worse, to get over this i added a switchto the starter relay into the cabin, it could also be the orange connector at the base of the steering coloumn its on a yellow and red wire going into a black one, this goes to the 4 block of connectors to the top right one, cut this out and make a new connection.
