Default Filling gas tank problem

Hello Everyone:
I recently bought a 2022 Chrysler Pacifica Wheelchair van. When I try to fill the tank the nozzle shuts off quickly each time I squeeze the level to fill. Has anyone had this problem and how did you fix it? The dealership I bought it from is advising me to fill using the nozzle upside down. If I do this I won't be able to know when the tank is full. Any suggestions how to fix this problem?

There is a vent tube/hose that allows air to escape as the tank fills. To keep gas fumes from releasing directly the air is sent to a charcoal purge canister the which pulls out the gas fumes. If this hose is restricted or blocked the tank will not vent properly and the pump handle will shut off. It is possible the wheelchair conversion is affecting this vent tube.

Was the dealership aware of the issue? Suspect the gas jockey that filled the tank experienced the issue but chose not to report it or did report report it but was not 'important' as the tank was full and they would not need to do it again.

Suggest visiting 'chryslerminivan.net'. The contributors there will be able to assist in determining where the restriction may exist and how to fix it.
