Default new section?

what do people think of a new section called 'readers rides', 'members rides', 'members cars' or the like... whichever tickles your fancy or if you can think of a better name post it up.

the section then basically consists of each persons car, a list of specs and pictures. any updates to the car etc are then added here aswell so everything done to one car is listed up in the one post and easily veiwable etc. this idea was put up a little while ago but went nowhere.

heres an example of what i mean on a canberra based modified car club site.
http://www.syndicatemotorsports.org/...p?showforum=12

where members post up pics and mods of the car etc.
its a new section like 'off topic' etc and i guess can be put in the general veiwing area.
plates etc if they are an issue (not for me as im overseas) can be blocked out by the person posting the shot etc.

tell us what you guys think of the idea. i know its jsut liek the 'members gallery' but this way specs etc can be put in the same are etc.

Their auto section in general isn't all that big compared to ours. Couldn't a person just post his/her info in their vehicle section here or would it be better combind into one forum?

Exactly what I was gonna say, no need for a specific page.

Althought maybe aloowing more typing space for profiles. That way, someone can list specs/pics of their car there.

yeh i know but i find myself not really looking through others cars sections.

i know they have a very small car base compared to this and its completely non specific.
but im a member of another forum with that plan and i dont browse any of those other related sites, occasionally i may but not enough to pay any attention etc.

but i see with a lot of members joining up and posting how the thread will get alot of hits.

Maybe more space on profiles and maybe make so that you can add 2 or 3 photos, instead of one?

Ok. I'll ask Amanda for another section and more profile space.
