If I have a 01 Town & country with a manual controls for the air, could I change the control unit with a digital one? If so what would I need to buy other than the digital unit itself?

 

Yes, Based on other posts, I don't think you can just change the control module.
The Auto Temp Control Module requires inputs and components your vehicle may not have such as ambient temp sensor, sun sensor, fan speed resistor module and probably more plus a bunch of rewiring.

I have a Concorde with Auto Temp Control (Digital) having BIG PROBLEMS with it now.

Wish it had a good old plain jane heat and AC control.

 

very true sorry to say the newer atc controls as crysler calls them due cost alot more money and yes their is alot more then just the ac panle that would need to be replaced.

 

I DONT THINK U CAN CHANGE OUT A MANUAL TEMP CONTROL FOR AN ATC SYSTEM . THE CONNECTORS FOR A MANUAL ARE DIFFERENT THEN AN ATC PLUS THE BLOWER MOTOR RESISTOR IS DIFFERENT IN SIZE AND CONFIG, BLOWER MOTOR IS DIFFERENT,INPUT AND OUTPUT TO THE PCM AND BCM ARE DIFFERENT.NOT A LIKELY JOB TO UNDERTAKE.
