1965 Chrysler New Yorker Brakes Question
I recently acquired a 1965 Chrysler New Yorker, and I'm going through the brake system (four wheel drum). I've cleaned up and flushed the master cylinder, and it seems to be in working order, but I would like to replace the seemingly paper diaphragm. Maybe I'm not looking hard enough on Google, but I can't find anything on it. Thanks for your input!
I'm talking about the piece that goes in-between the master cylinder reservoir and the cover. In newer cars it's like a rubber that expands to adjust to lowering brake fluid levels, but in this car it seems to be a paper element of sorts.
Might be easier to just replace the whole master cylinder. They are available and probably updated a little in design. With an old car like that you can't be sure that what you are looking at isn't something that somebody cobbled up.
Welcome to the forum and we look forward to hearing from you.
