got covers and tilt lever removed,am i wrong or does steering wheel need removed to access multi switch screws? thanks in advance

No steering wheel can stay. There is a torx screw and a torx style nut that hold the switch in place.

well got switch swapped, not the problem.noticed a wire blk/r is broken looks like from the switch trying to locate in serv. manual wiring diagram

mr. yuck 12-17-2017 12:26 PM

update ok it was the broken wire blk/r out of ignition switch vehicle has a remote start i think is aftermarket, quite a few non factory connections in the area i think from the tilt wheel over time broke the connection, jerry rigged a jumper connection to verify. no more air bag/abs/brake light. windows/turn signals/hvac all works. i can't get in to splice it together one handed.got to get somebody to splice it for me
