Default 2000 LHS ignition switch replacement

hi all leaving turkey day dinner my lhs airbag,abs,brake lights on dash illuminated no hvac,turn signal,window operation. doing some research looks like bad ignition switch.. got new one looking for replacement info i'm one handed currently was a tech before i was hit on my motorcycle. anyone direct me to some online detailed instruction??

IGNITION SWITCH
The ignition switch attaches to the lock cylinder housing on the end opposite the lock cylinder Ignition Switch For ignition switch terminal and circuit identification, refer to the Wiring Diagrams section

REMOVAL
Disconnect negative cable from battery.
Remove tilt lever attaching screw. Remove lever.
Remove upper and lower cover from steering column.
Remove Sentry Key Immobilizer Module (SKIM) if equipped. Refer to the Power Door Locks section for removal.
Remove multi-function switch.
Disconnect electrical connector from ignition switch Ignition Switch Removal/Installation
Remove Ignition switch mounting screws. Remove switch.
INSTALLATION
A tab on the ignition switch indexes to a notch in the lock cylinder housing Ignition Switch Alignment Also, a slot in the end of the ignition switch fits over the shaft in the end of the lock cylinder housing. Use the ignition key to rotate the lock cylinder to align the ignition switch with lock cylinder housing.
Install and tighten ignition switch mounting screws.
Attach electrical connector to ignition switch.
Install multi-function switch.
Install SKIM if equipped, refer to the Power Door Locks section for installation.
Install upper and lower cover on steering column.
Install tilt lever.
Connect negative cable to battery.

thanks,yes that's pretty much what i found online. probably going to have to buy a physical repair manual,cannot find anything online that i can view to remove multi function switch,had covers off. trying to do it one handed cannot use left hand from strokes. trying to see how to remove multi function switch

got covers and tilt lever removed,am i wrong or does steering wheel need removed to access multi switch screws? thanks in advance

No steering wheel can stay. There is a torx screw and a torx style nut that hold the switch in place.

i'm going to have to look again i see where the manual points to them but i must have overlooked them

silly ? what's the trick to pull white plug with red tab on m/f switch?

well got switch swapped,not the problem.noticed a wire blk/r is broken looks like from the switch trying to locate in serv. manual wiring diagram

update ok it was the broken wire blk/r out of ignition switch vehicle has a remote start i think is aftermarket,quite a few non factory connections in the area i think from the tilt wheel over time broke the connection,jerry rigged a jumper connection to verify. no more air bag/abs/brake light. windows/turn signals/hvac all works. i can't get in to splice it together one handed.got to get somebody to splice it for me
