The alert lights in the dash flash off and on at the same time. The horn doesn't work. The needle on the speedometer rapidly swings back and forth.
This happens periodically then stops.

The exact same thing happened to our town and country a few years ago. The dealer tried to fix this and couldn't. The van then would shut of while driving.
Since the van couldn't be fixed and was now dangerous we junked it.

We don't want to junk our PT since it's a convertible. We have it at a different dealer this time. They aren't sure what's wrong with it and act like this has never happened to anyone else with a Chrysler but it has happened to us twice. Are they trying to grease us up to buy a new car? We will not.

What can we do?

 

I would do a self test on the cluster to see if it's working properly
