2010 Chrysler convertible and top won't open. Think it has to do with the trunk button not working. Remote won't either. Any help would be great! Changed top control model and pump and motor work.

 

I suggest you go to sebringclub.net and join that group. There are plenty of members there that can help you out. This can be fixed.

What is the message that appears in the EVIC display? If the top does not open, one suspect is the wiring harness at the right trunk hinge. There is a rather severe bend in the harness at the right hinge that is stressed whenever the trunk is opened/closed. The wires have been know to break at this bend. If one of the switch sensor wires is broken the top will not open. If one of trunk switch sensors for top closed has failed it will set a dtc in the ptcm (power top control module) noting the top has not closed and prevent the trunk from opening by button/remote believing the top is not fully closed.
