I can't open my 2010 Sebring Convertible Top... this message appears "Secure Cargo Shield"... also the front windows go up and down by itself

 

"Cargo Shield" is the plastic panel in the trunk that must be in place to lower the top. There are sensors/switches in the channel the system needs to confirm the panel is in place before the top will drop. Windows go down as part of the sequence prior to top drop.

 

Thank you... still with the problem... but now this is the message that appears "Convertible Top Not Secured"

I already contact this dealer and they just told me that my car is very old and they can't work with it.

What can I do now?

Even the US dealers don't give a crap about these cars. Drop tops were only about 5% of sales so they just do not care.
Forum listed in my last post have folks that know more about the car than Chrysler Dealers ever did, and they care.

 

I suggest you go to sebringclub.net and join that group. there are plenty of members there that can help you out. Don't worry, you can fix this.

 

I have talked to both chrysler dealership service departments in macon,georgia and know one knows what or how to fix my convertible top malfuction on my sons 2010 chrysler sebring tour?? reading as this gentlemen, top malfuction,top not secured,,please help my son just came back from kuwait,and the car has been in the garage 2 years,and i really want to fix this for him.

 

sir did you ever find out what was wrong? i am having the same issue my top wont secure or go down?
