Hi folks! I'm a mechanic in San Diego CA facing a daunting problem. I have a 1994 Chrysler Concorde 4 door sedan. It has a 3.5Ltr V6,auto, CA smog equipment. It runs great;no missing, no codes. Within ten minutes of starting
the engine will vaporize the coolent in the system. I replaced the water pump as it was evident it had been leaking. I replaced the radiator due to a pin leak near the seam on the tank. It holds perfect pressure when running,does not show any failure on a block test. After over heating,removing the thermostat housing shows absolutely no coolent present in the block. Please help me, I'm
at a total end of ideas.

 

Is there a t-Stat in the housing???? i'M ASSUMING IT JUST STEAMS OUT OF THE OVERFLOW TUBE?

 

Possible reasons for overheating:
T-stat in backwards
Collapsed radiator hose
Blown head gasket
Plugged internal coolant passage
T-stat simply not working
Blown freeze plug

Probably some more that don't come to mind.
