Default COOLANT

I have owned a 1991 Chrysler Imperial for 6 mos. Less than two weeks ago I filled up the coolant to just at the max line. It is now just above the min line. I've driven only about 40 miles!! The radiator is full to the top with nice green water and there are no leaks but the car appears to be "eating" coolant. HELP
