Default Dampers

Ok guys. Have a 2008 Chrysler Town & Country and each time we start the van we hear this rapid thumping sound coming from under the dash that can last for up to a minute.

I'm sure it's a damper trying to open and was wondering if this could be repaired where it doesn't make that rapid thumping sound or what's causing that noise. Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

Anything can be repaired if it's done by someone who knows what to do and has access to the right parts. The question always is whether you are willing to spend the money to diagnose the problem and have it repaired properly. Problems within the heater/air conditioner could be expensive if it becomes necessary to take it apart because a lot of labor is required to pull the dash apart and get in there. On the other hand, since it's computer controlled, it could be a computer problem. Only way to be sure is to have it properly diagnosed.
