Hey guys,

I got a problem with the intrepy. I turn the key and seem to be just getting click noise. no clicking. and nothing happins. so ill try again and just one click. nothing. do it maybe 40 times and still nothing. just about ready to give up, and 2 clicks later she works? mechanic said battery termial or wires, both of them replaced. starter maybe? any ideas well appreciated! thanks

 

Yep your mechanic is right. could be wiring, could be starter, could be starter solenoid, could be the ignition switch, could be a relay, could be global warming, could be battery, could be battery connections, it could be a lot of things. If you don't have the tools, knowledge or skills, you'll probably change parts hoping to solve the problem which is costly, time consuming and frustrating. If you have some electrical knowledge and a multimeter, you might be able to solve it yourself.

In a total GUESS, if you have a nipendeso starter, probably solenoid contacts. These take less than an hour to replace and cost less than $4.00
