Unhappy Mysterious Grinding Sound

Help anyone. When my car is parked and engine turned off; I hear a funny grinding sound, from what it seems under the car, when I turn the steering wheel to left and right. Is this something that should be replaced urgently and if yes, whats the name of the part(s) that I would be looking for.

Thanks so much for your help.

You are looking for a possible problem with the steering gear. Hard to say what it is based on your description, but it should be checked out. Steering is important.
