Default Need somewhere to start

I was driving my 1999 Concorde LX 3.2 to work, before I left it was really hard to get into drive I had to use a little force but got it into drive. When I got to work and went to park I couldn't it was stuck in drive. I figured that I could get the car to reset if I turned it off, but nope now it is stuck in drive and won't start. NO the engine isn't seized there's oil in it, the transmission fluid wasn't empty or dirty. Even though the car isn't running I should be able to shift it into any other gear but right now I can't. I'm at a loss to what it could be
