Question New to site - need help with remote start please

Hello everyone, I am new to the site.

I just purchased a used 99 sebring jxi convertible for my son. I would like to know how to remote start the car? I did not even know it had a remote starter until today. The key fob that I have is a 4 button (lock, unlock, trunk and panic).

I had the keys in my pocket and the car started up. Can someone help with this? Is there a trick to it?

The stock Sebring does not have a remote starter. If yours has one it's an aftermarket installation. There is a slim possibility that a neighbor has an identical or at least compatible unit tuned to the same frequency. Either that or your key fob is not a standard Chrysler issue and some combination of those buttons initiates the aftermarket start. Try searching on the internet for a key fob for a 99 Sebring convertible. Compare the picture in the ad to yours.
