Default No Start 99 300M--- 3.5

Had the battery disconnected for a couple days while I was replacing valve cover gaskets. I put it all back together today and the car won't start. It's getting gas to the injectors and there is current reaching the coil packs. Could having the battery disconnected for 48 hours have any effect on the factory security system? Like I said, it cranks real strong but won't fire up! Thanks in advance for any help anyone may have for me.

Any codes? The usual mode for the security system is to shut the engine off after 2 seconds.
Are you sure you didn't mix up any connections in putting it back together? Some of those sensor connectors can be mixed up easily.

Thanks for the feedback dcotter. Everything appears to be properly plugged in and can't see any broken wires. Probably just overlooking something. I to am a suburban Detroiter. East side!!

Probably gonna have to slap a code reader on there to see if anything comes up. In the meantime, see if you have an actual spark. Might want to get an ignition tester.

Let's hear it for the East side. I'm in Grosse Pointe Park. Where are you?

I'm in Harper Woods. Hate to have to get the car towed somewhere to have a code reader put on it. I'm assuming that I need a dealer-type scanner put on it, not the basic one that Autozone has.

Current to the coil pack doesn't mean that you have a spark. To create a spark, the current is interrupted causing the magnetic field to collapse on the primary side of the coil and that induces the current in the secondary side of the coil. It's that induced current that causes the spark.
So check for a spark. If no spark, then you need to run that down.
