I had the awful episode of my significant other retreating from the carport with the 2006 visiting Odyssey power sliding entryway open. The entryway hit the rail on the carport entryway and wrecked something. From that point forward the entryway will attempt to close, yet when it draws near it alters its perspective and busts open back. I'm expecting that it is detecting a lot of rubbing and thinks that a something is trapped in the entryway. This is the fourth time that I have had it in the shop and we simply can not appear to sort it out. First they took the fixed something bowed. That didn't fix it totally rather than all the time not shutting, the entryway would close around 25% of the time. I sent it back to the showroom and they said that it was a body fix issue. So $600 later I get it back it actually closes occasionally.

I have no idea what a 56 plate is. Does that indicate a model year? Anyway, if this is a 2001-2007 Voyager it has two switches that control the opening and closing of the door. The one at the door is the easiest to investigate as no tools are needed at all. Remove the gray plastic thresholds by the front door and the sliding door. Then remove the gray plastic panel here the button is located (on the B-pillar, the vertical divider between the doors). It is easiest to remove from the top and then the bottom part. Have someone slide out 1 meter of belt to make it easier for you to remove the panel. Then disconnect the switch, start the car and test the door. If this doesn't fix the issue, try the overhead panel. It should be fairly easy to remove. You probably need to pry off the semi-transparent lenses for the interior lights to access some fastening screws. Disconnect this entire module and redo the test for the door. You can probably get a panel from a salvage yard for peanuts.
