Default SERVICE

New member, never did this B4!!!!

At what mileage do you replace the timing belt on a 2.5L?

What with the interlock system? (Transmission/Ignition).

A) First time I paid for replacement.

B) Second time Chrysler had a recall.

C)Third time a few months after (B) I paid again, and it is still a on and off problem.

Not to long ago I replaced the steering rack, it just failed to steer-I was out of town.

I drove it back at night, what a challange. The Sebring always produced a rubbing noise when

making a left or right into a driveway. Dealer said "they are all the same". What a change with a new rack!!

Thanks for your input.

HAL KESSLER

Default RE: SERVICE

i think its like 99,000 or 100,000 for the timing belt and as far as the recall they inspected the shifter and replaced the shidt interlock rod and if it was broken or crakced then they replace the entire assembly but if they fixed it with the recall part then it would not be coverd under the recall becouse they replaced the faulty old style version that was on your car.
and for the steering i got no clue sorry cant help ya thier.
