Stratus 1999 ABS light ON

Hi everyone

In my Stratus 1999 the ABS lamp is always on, and the tester sees "no trouble codes". Can you help me somehow?

greetings to Gerard

An generic(less costly) OBD11 scanner will NOT pick up ABS or SRS codes. Need one that also interfaces with the BCM computer. BUT you can start by checking for a bad ABS fuse or relay in the fuse panel.....

Thanks for a quick answer. I checked the fuses and relays.
I guess there is nothing else to go to the Chrysler car service
Can I check something myself?

Once code(s) can be retrieved, they are pretty specific to the cause of the light coming on and staying lit, usually a wheel speed sensor that has gone bad. IF you use an Independent shop for your service work, they should have a scanner capable of doing that. ABS and SRS(air bags) have been around for a number of years now...to keep current a good Independent shop should be able to handle it at much less cost than a Dealer.
