Does anyone have any idea what models will be affected by this latest expansion of the Takata airbag recall and how it will be handled in the older vehicles.

 

Don't know which recall you are referring to since there have been several, but you can search on line for vehicles affected.

The problem is that millions of vehicles are affected and therefore millions of replacement parts will be needed, assuming they have figured out how to build the replacement parts without the same defect as the original ones.

They can't actually recall the vehicles until they have replacement parts ready so it's going to take time. They will contact you by letter when they can repair your car. It helps if you stay in contact with your servicing dealer so they know what kind of car you own.

 

I took my 2006 300c in for the airbag recall and guess what, the light is still on?
