What do you think about buying a used 2015 Chrysler 200 with a salvage title.
Hello everyone,
I am looking to buy a used car and I found a 2015 Chrysler 200 and it is priced at 7,500$. The title status of the car is salvage. I would like to know if this car is worth buying or not.
I am aware of the fact that the title status is salvage, but I am not sure if the car is worth buying. I have done some research about the car, and it seems like it is a decent deal. However, I am still not sure if I should get it or not.
I would really appreciate it if some of you could give me your opinion about this car. Do you think that it is worth buying a used car with a salvage title? Do you have any prior experience with this model or similar ones? Are there any potential problems that I should be aware of?
Any advice or information about this car would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your help.

The only advice I can give you is to call your insurance company with the VIN before buying. Some insurance companies will not insure cars with salvage titles.
I was looking at a car that had hail damage once. I called my insurance company with the VIN to get rough pricing for coverage and they informed me that it was flagged as uninsurable. So you don't want to get stuck with a car you can't insure and therefore can not drive.
Other than that, I think I would be more interested in WHY it has a salvage title to determine if it would be worth taking a chance or not.

Check out this link discussing a salvage titled 200. There are some links to other websites that could help in researching the history of the 200 you are looking at. May cost a few $$ but worth it in my book when spending $7500 on a previously totaled vehicle.

Agree with calamity coyote on checking with your insurance company as insurance companies share quite a bit of information. Very important to know why it has a salvage title. Do not depend on a carfax report alone.
