Would you buy high mileage?
I'm looking to buy a newer Grand Voyager than I currently have, also mine is 3.3 petrol, and for economy I'm looking at diesel.
I've seen a 2006 2.8crd on a well know auction site that is a bit cheaper than similar year cars. Only possible downside is that it has 270,000 miles on the clock.
Seller says that everything works as it should, starts, drives as it should.
Just high mileage?
Any opinions?
Cheers

Depends on how the mileage was run up. If it was run up in taxicab-type driving, lots of stop-and-go short trips, then beware. If mostly highway miles, it's less of a concern. Look at the brake pedal. If it's heavily worn (or brand new), that's an indicator. If it's moderately worn, that's better.
Either way, offer less than a comparable low mileage vehicle and set aside a fund for repairs.
