2.2/2.5 vs 3.9/5.2 for High Performance
Hey there, everyone.
I've been doing some research in regards to performance mods on Mopar 2.2/2.5 and 3.9/5.2 engines, and in doing so, it has led to the following question:
For a high performance application, would a built K-car or a modified small block V6/V8 be a better bet?
K-cars seem to be relatively inexpensive and can handle pretty high output up to the 400HP range with few modifications required for integrity of the engine to handle the increased output.
I've also seen LA/Magnum engines up in the 400 to 500HP range, but it seems to be much more complicated to reach such a number compared the the K-care engines, and the increased weight of these engines is undesirable.
For a performance application, which engine is recommended?
Thanks in advance.
