2005 Sebring GTC Convertible.
I just bought this car and I have two problems.
1. There is a loud clanking noise from the driver's side, left rear area when I hit a bump. I've run out of things to look for. Nothing seems to be loose.
2. How do I reach the headlight sockets to replace both bulbs?
Thanks,
Don

1. Could be several things including ball joint, strut, or something else as simple as a loose wheel lugnut inside the wheel cover. The only wayto know is to get it up on a hoist and look at it up close and personal.
2. Start by reading the owners manual. If you don't have it, download it at chrysler.com. You're going to have to pull out the whole headlight assembly. One thing to be aware of, at the back edge of the light assembly is a small protrusion that fits into a little socket. Be careful not to break it off.

Thanks; the lift isn't easy, but I'll figure out a way. The bulb access will just take a little work.
Everything is tight and secure, so far.
I've checked everything I can, without the use of a lift. Nothing I can reach is causing the clanking.

FYI, Folks, you do NOT have to remove the front fascia or front bumper cover to get at the headlight assembly.
There are TWO bolts, about 4 inches long on each side (left and right) which hold the assembly. Remove these bolts pull the assembly out at the top and gently lift upward a tad and the assembly comes off in your hand. (these bolts are smaller than the rest of the visible bolts in the area and are easy to identify). I did it and it works just fine.
When replacing the bulbs, just be careful to NOT break off the retainer pins.
Mine were broken off by a previous owner and I have to "jury rig" a solution, because the pins are NOT sold separately, one must buy the entire assembly at $259 a pop. Needless to say, a "jury rig" comes to mind.
Good Luck!
Now on to my clanking noise which proved to be a broken strut.

You don't have to remove the fascia but if you pull out a couple of the push pins along the top, you can move the fascia a bit and give yourself some more clearance to take out the headlight assembly. If the previous owner broke off the locating pins, that might also make removal a little easier, but your headlight aiming is going to be uncertain.
New problem with the '05 Sebring. I had the car greased and oiled a week ago and the oil level is proper and clean as a whistle. The oil light came on, went off and is now flashing. I parked it until I figure out the problem. Any suggestions? Oil Pump? Electrical? Anyone else experience this problem?
UPDATE:
I discovered on another site, that the flickering light is a common problem with this engine. (2.7L). See the Sebring/200 forum for further details.
