Default 2006 Sebring P0300

Hi I am new to this forum. I have a 2006 Sebring and the issue I am having is that it will start to missfire and run rough. This car is only got 53,300 miles on it and it should not have this type of problems. I have had the car since April 2012 and start having issues after one month of having this car. First issue was it started with a P2096 code, the code reader I have told me 4 things to look for. I clear the code and it stayed off for about a month. Then it came back I purchase some 02 sensors but never installed them. I figured I would drive the car and see if the code cleared it self which it did. It has been doing this off and on since then until it got cold out. It has not thrown that code for a couple of months now, but now I plugged in the code reader yesterday after it started runnig rough and missing it came up with a pending code P0300 witch is a multifire miss fire (cel never came on) . The one thing i have notice is that if step on the gas and run it hard the engine starts running correct. I have read a number of post and threads where other have had the same issue, but i have not seen any threads or post that has solved this problem. Can someone point me to correct place for the solution for this?

I forgot to mention in the above that this Sebring has a 2.7 engine in it. Today was a very wet and foggy day in northeast Ohio. Car started act up today almost like a crack in a distruber cap or bad plug wires. This engine has COP, is it possible that COP or the wire that connect to them could do the same thing?
