Unhappy Any suggestions (MIRACLES)

I have a 99 300M with 89K. It's in decent shape. I have just bought my 11th center cap for my factory 17" chrome wheels. I live in the rust belt. Anyone know a way to protect the inner clips and hardware

When new of after a real good cleaning clear coat the back side of the cap. Metal tangs tend to rot away from the cap. If sealed you can slow the process.

You're dead right about that road salt. Back in the 1970s I fitted a couple of spot-lights to the front of my then car, and it ate through the connector blocks and copper wire I used in about two weeks. It sure is vicious stuff.
