Post Car would not start (2004) 2.7 lxi

I drove into work the car was find. Went out to lunch it wouldn't start.
Co-worker look at it noticed the fuse blown a 20 amp mini, a new fuse was put in it started, it didn't run very well on my way to the dealer for it to be checked out.

By the way it was the #8 fuse under the hood, radio was not on, no lights inside the car, headlight were on. When you turned the ignition, nothing, not even a click.

Received a call this morning saying there was nothing found wrong with the car.

Is it normal for this to happen. My concern is that my warranty is about to run out and if something is wrong it might be costly.

Thank for any help on anything else I might get checked out.

# 8 is for the starter and fuel pump The starter is more then likely the cause

+1 Seen this on these cars a lot. Starter solenoid is pulling too many amps sometimes. It WILL happen again. Either get your starter replaced or carry a handful of extra 20A fuses in your cupholder until you can get it done.

If your warranty is close to running out be cautious, they are great on putting you off until it runs out then tell you it's not covered, but as long as there is a record of the problem you might have an argument later cause if it blew a 30/40 amp fuse either the solenoid is bad (contacts are pitted )or the starter windings/ brushes are bad, there is a high Amp draw and if the fuse didn't blow the wires would have melted and they don't blow for no reason!!Don't jimmy rig anything or they'll say soorry.
