Angry CKP Sensor Loction 2010 2.4L

My 2010 Sebring started running rough and stall at idle, would not accelerate above 35mph. OBDII code P0017 + a bunch of misfire related codes (no kidding). OBDII says P0017 is Crank Position Sensor, makes sense. Monroe estimates $350 to fix. Auto Zone has CKP for $12 out the door. Held in by one 10mm bolt. Haynes describes 5 steps to replace, shows close up photos, NO PROBLEM Right?

The photos are like the blind guys describing an elephant. So where exactly on the engine is the CKP located? Is it under the starter to the driver's side of the oil filter? Do I get to if from underneath -- Haynes does say jack stands? Do I need 3+ hours of shop time to remove the harmonic balancer(???) like the guy from Monroe said?

Looking for help. thanks,
Rick
