Default p0340 code

Took my 2018 Pacifica in for engine and auto start light on. Tech said it showed a p0340 code. picked it up the next day after 8 hours same condition is back. called service said it would be 10 days before he could get it in. van starts hard, key fob issues and runs rough when it does start. Service tech said it would be ok to use van even with the engine and auto start lights on. My question is how critical is this condition and will it create larger problems if not corrected asap.

Low battery voltage can be a possible element. Check that first as it's the easiest to determine. If you make lots of short trips then that would explain it.
