Hello!
My father recently passed away and I was given a big box of "stuff" I was able to scan in the photos. Not sure of the significance of these but thought I would share for feedback. I am trying to learn some history here :) Thanks!!! http://bragstudios.com/images/vehicles1.pdf http://bragstudios.com/images/vehicles2.pdf http://bragstudios.com/images/vehicles3.pdf http://bragstudios.com/images/vehicles4.pdf |

Real neet history for sure. Hope someone can shed more light on the concept cars and their history.

Thanks for that Timothy Winters, quite enjoyed that trip into nostalgia. There was something very special about american motors from the 1950s and early 60s. They had real style and I don't think we'll see the like again.
My favorite car was the 1959 Buick Electra -- it looked like it just came from outer space! And my favorite film was "Forbidden Planet" with Walter Pidgeon and its award-winning special effects: I think it was the precursor to Startreck which I think started in 1968. I have owned and run a 1966 Ford Galaxy with stacked headlights, a 1966 Ford Mustang (a left-hooker) and a 1955 Buick Special, my first diesel-engined car. Of course it wasn't made that way, the engine was a P6 Perkins someone had installed together with a 3.8 Jaguar gearbox with elecric overdrive. The 390cu" Galaxy was the nicest. The autobox was so smooth it was like driving with a powerful electric motor under the hood/bonnet. It would also at the time (1975) beat ANYTHING away from the traffic lights. Surprizingly, it would do 18mpgUK, not bad for a two and a half ton motor.... Leedsman. |
